Hello! I’m Sophia.

I am a 500-Hour RYT, specializing in vinyasa yoga, sound healing, and breathwork. I completed my 200 Hour Training in 2019, focusing on Vinyasa yoga. My yoga journey has continued in Bali, where I recently finished my 300 Hour Training in both Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga.

I additionally hold certifications in yoga sculpt, meditation, and breathwork. 

My yoga classes cultivate strength, flexibility, inner peace, & restoration. I additionally offer private and group classes that cater to all levels of experience. 

about me

I was born and raised in Northern California. I fell in love with yoga when I was a teenager, after being influenced by my Mom’s yoga practice. I quickly became obsessed with the physical and mental practice. Yoga soon became a way for me to process grief and was instrumental in my recovery from an eating disorder after my Dad passed away when I was seventeen. When I was a freshman at UC Berkeley, I found my favorite yoga studio and completed my 200 Hour Training in Berkeley, California.

Everyday, I fall more in love with teaching and practicing yoga. Yoga philosophy and the physical practice have truly changed my life, helping me move through challenging times while also bringing such joy & positivity into my life. As an avid traveler, yoga has also given me a deep sense of community all over the world.

I teach to all-levels. My classes focus on connecting breath to movement, reconnecting with the present movement, and building strength and flexibility in the body. I have also studied breathwork, sound healing, and meditation. I incorporate these modalities into my practice.  I love providing students with a nurturing escape from the busy world. And, most importantly, I teach to remind students that the true practice of yoga exists off the mat.
